**********************************************************************
I wasn't planning on playing along this month.  But I've had a lot on my mind and haven't been sleeping well.  So Thursday morning I was wide awake at 5:30 a.m. and ventured down to my room and decided to try and do something. As I was digging thru my stash I came across this layout which I had started 2 years ago - but never got further than the base and picture!  Perfect opportunity to go back and put it together!
Most everything for the stickers and patterned papers are from Echo Park - a couple different Samatha Walker Collections.  I added in cork hearts and dots to add some extra texture and that is all over two years old too!  Love it when you can get something done that had been cast aside!

As I mentioned earlier I am doing a giveaway!  Today I am giving away a $15 Gift Certificate to SRM Stickers!  You can get stamps, stickers, containers, planner supplies, and so much more there!

You can get up to two entries for the gift certificate:
1) Follow me on Instagram @cameyer71
and/or
2) Follow me on Facebook
and then
3) Leave me a comment here telling me what you did!

The giveaway will be open thru May 8, 2016 at 11:59 PM CST

Under the Sea Layout

Fabulous Colors, Adorable Characters, Cute Patterns! I am up at the Doodlebug Blog today and declaring that Under the Sea has all of these and if you're like me it will make you want to squeal with delight at all the fun it has to offer! I decided to pull out a picture of my only daughter having fun in the sun and showcase it with this layout.  I tend to love just about everything I make with Doodlebug products but I think this might be my favorite to date!

My goal was to find a way to use the Die Cut Banner pieces in a fun and unique way.  As I was moving them around and looking at them I realized - hey why not use them around a circle!?!  They don't have to be a banner!  I love how doing this helps them mimic a sun or a flower - both perfectly appropriate for the feel of the layout!  I did a pattern using the four different banner shapes and trying to alternate colors, patterns, etc.

I thought the mermaids in the collection were so fun that I used several of them!  They even have one come in Doodlepop form - adding some dimension to the layout!  Pieces from the This & That Sticker Set helped provide a title and subtitle for it.

I used a mixture of the Lily White Glitter sprinkles and Under the Sea Shape Sprinkles to surround the mermaids. They add such a fun touch of whimsy and pops of color and dimension too!

I specifically chose the background paper for my circle that I did for several reasons: it matched the water in the picture almost perfectly, it reminded me of waves and mermaid scales, and I knew I could go crazy with my craft knife and make it pop!  After I cut out the circle and placed my picture on it - I used my craft knife to randomly cut up scallops and pull them up.  I didn't count or do any pattern I just looked at it as I went and filled in where I thought it could use another.  I then topped those off with a dab of glitter glue.  I am always drawn to scallops and using my craft knife with them and am always pleased with the results too!

I can't wait to dive into this collection and play some more!

Words of Faith Cards

I'm up today at SRM Stickers to show that The Words of Faith stamps aren't just for Bible Journaling they work great for cards too!

It's always nice to have cards on hand that are perfect for a variety of situations and this one fills that need.  I did a bunch of layers of various products from my stash and then added the "Trust in the Lord" from the Words of Faith Stamp Set as a sentiment.  I love the springy feel that it has and that in combination with the sentiment it just has an uplifting feeling to it!

I love that there are sentiments in this stamp set that can be for comforting, encouraging, and celebrating - it covers a wide variety and can not only meet your Bible Journaling needs but be perfect for all your cards too!

Basketball Pocket Page

My oldest son recently wrapped up his basketball season and I have a ton of pictures from it! So today I am going to show how I used up some of the pictures in a quick and simple pocket page layout!

The Basketball Tags Paper in the All Star Collection from Paper House Productions is great for a variety of uses.  You could do cards to encourage your little athlete, use it on traditional layouts, make home decor, or use it just like I did as part of a pocket page.  As you can see I used some straight as they came and other parts I decorated with stickers.

And just because Paper House has a new sports collection, don't forget about all their great older ones that combine beautifully with the All Star Collection.  I used pieces from the Basketball Die Cuts and as you can see here a 3D Basketball sticker!
So if you are looking for a quicker alternative to the traditional layout and have several pictures to include - pull out a pocket page protector and get to work.  You won't be disappointed!  I always love how they turn out!

Creative Kit Layouts for My Creative Scrapbook

The Creative Kit from My Creative Scrapbook is packed with beautiful soft spring colors and a few bunches of bright, bold colors too!  Today I am going to share with you the rest of the layouts that I made with this kit!

This one was a crazy amount of work but I love how it turned out.  I punched out circles and then cut them in half.  I then attached them to a circle and then went to the next color a half inch in further.  I took pictures to explain it better and inadvertently deleted them - argh! I love that it kind of looks like a big flower!

For this fun birthday layout I was trying to create a bit of a scene using different elements from the kit!

This little guy loves to jump in Muddy Puddles - so I captured that moment with this grid style layout.  You can never go wrong with a grid style layout!

April Planner Spread

If there was ever a time of year to need a planner, it's right now.  My goodness the schedule is busy! Today I'm sharing just one week of my April planner where I incorporated all kinds of fun SRM supplies!
For this week I decided to really play with my SRM Planner Stamps and my Black Le Pen!

I used both the Clear Stamp Planner/Banner and Clear Stamp Planner/Notes to Self to highlight things I needed to do and then added my handwriting around them!  I also added in the fun April from the Months Large/Snappy Sticker Set!

I haven't incorporated very many of my Sticker Stitches in the past so this time I got out my Halloween ones so that I could use some orange and used them as a border.  Love the extra fun that they add!
How's your April Planner coming along?  We'd love to see them over in our Facebook Group!

Main Kit Layouts for My Creative Scrapbook

Does it feel like April where you are at? Where I live, it's been in the 30s and it even snowed yesterday! Yikes!  Here's some Main Kit layouts form the new April kits from My Creative Scrapbook.  These have a spring feel and should help warm us up!

The kit is packed with Carpe Diem from Simple Stories along with some flowers, thickers, and other odds and ends!

There's tons of fun stuff to fussy cut - like these awesome clouds!

There's a good mix of big bold patterns and much calmer ones - I went big and bold on this layout!

The chipboard frames were a definite favorite for me - super fun to make a collage with and add a bunch of pictures to a layout!

Baseball Scrapbook Layout

With opening day fresh in everyone's minds I thought it was a perfect time to pull out the new All Star Collection from Paper House Productions and play with the baseball components!  I also decided to try my hand at a mixed media background (for the first time EVER!)

There's a lot of circles happening in my design - to break that up I brought in the Baseball Snapshot Stickers.  The shape helps draw attention in to the photos and they also add an extra texture with their paper clips!  I created my background by spraying cellophane with mist and then smushing it onto the layout (that's a technical term right there ;).

As I was creating this layout I knew I wanted to incorporate multiple patterns and circular elements.  I used a punch to do that and then tied in some of the round cardstock stickers to embellish.

This collection comes with stickers that work great for titles and subtitles - that always makes figuring out that part of the layout a little easier.

Anchors Aweigh Layout for Doodlebug Design

Little boy scrapbooking supplies can be hard to come by so I was so excited to see this fabulous collection from Doodlebug!  My littlest guy had recently been giving me some silly faces in the bathtub so I took advantage of the water themed products to create this fun layout!

I really wanted to use the map paper from the collection but I didn't have pictures that were the right size to make it work in a traditional manner.  So Sprinkles Vellum to the rescue!  I cut out a 10 inch circle from the vellum and put that in the center of the layout.  That kept the map as a big part of the layout but allowed the eyes to still focus on the pictures.  I decided to really play up the circles and imitate bubbles - so there are circles all over the place!

The Doodlepops in this collection are seriously adorable!  Love the turtles, love the fish, you can't go wrong! Although if I'm being honest, I pretty much just love Doodlepops!  Dimension and cuteness = perfection in my book!

To add dimension I decided to use the Tangerine Chippers for my title and I also added some of the fun Bubble Sprinkles throughout.

I outlined a lot of the pieces on my layout with a black pen - I wanted to make things pop a little more and that really helped. There are lots of great words and phrases to use in the stickers - some water themed and lots not.  Makes it a very versatile line that will be perfect for all your little guys!

I can't wait to play with this collection even more this summer when I have pool, beach, and lake pictures to use too!
