The Little Things

About a week ago I stumbled onto Jennifer McGuire's blog. She is my favorite artist for Creating Keepsakes Magazine. She has a section with a whole bunch of layouts and honestly I could scraplift each and every one--I love her style! This layout is one that I copied from her. I bought myself a treat today--the new rub-ons that you can put glitter, flocking, or foil on. I used that in the bottom left corner-it was not as user friendly as I had hoped, but still fun!

Fall Friendship Card

I don't post a lot of cards because frankly I do them out of necessity for the trade more than enjoyment. My love is scrapbooking, cards are a good way to use up scraps and try new techniques on a smaller scale. That being said, I am doing a couple parties next week and this card will be what we make at one of them. On the purple cardstock I stamped teeny little hearts and filled a few in with white marker. I also used my distressing tools to fill in the pumpkin. Supplies used: CTMH Patterned Paper, Friendship Patch Stamp, Terracotta Autumn Ink, Purple Pansy Ink Distressing Kit, Sakura White Pen, Green fabric. Sorry for the blurred matter how many I took they still came out a little iffy!

I had this picture on another half done page. I didn't like the direction the page was going so I destroyed it! I love this patterned paper-the design, the colors, all of it! I simply tore off the bottom, inked it (purple pansy CTMH), mounted it on the brown chipboard, and added a title. Oh and the darker dots are all pewter brads from CTMH. I had never used pewter brads before getting them in my consultant kit. Now they are my favorite color

Blue Dress

I love dressing my daughter in pretty blue outfits, so it only makes sense that I would also love to do blue girl scrapbook pages. This was yet another layout that sat for months on my to-finish pile. I couldn't have envisioned it coming out as well as it did! The little dots you see on the blue paper is glitter dots...a new experiment for me! The letters for the title are from the Dollar Tree and Creative Memories.

Christmas Visit

This is another layout that was on my to finish pile. It has an unusual amount of stickers on it for me! On the holly berries I used liquid glass to puff them up and that actually is my favorite thing about the layout! The dot stickers were just a perfect match fort he plaid. All the stickers came from Colorbok and the Dollar Tree. The liquid glass came from Close to My Heart

Disney World

The past couple days I have been working on finishing layouts that I had put aside. Usually if I get stuck for ideas I put the layout in a pile and come back to it later. I noticed the other day that my pile had about 30 layouts in it--many of them had been there since before we moved (over three months ago!) This Disney World layout is one of them. All the characters are paper pieced using my Cricut machine--wow that was a lot of work! I ran out of room for journaling so I put it on the back of the layout--you can't have a Disney world layout without journaling! I think my favorite thing about this layout is it is just paper, adhesive, and ink...very economical!

Timmy's Birthday

I saw this paper by Creative Imaginations and had to have it. After working with it in layout form I wish I would have bought the accompanying page--I don't love my accompanying page that I made! Live and learn! The four is actually all glittery-but of course that doesn't show up in a picture!

These were all pictures taken by our neighbor in Missouri. I decided they were so good they needed their own page. This page started very simple and soft with the light green coloring. Once I started adding brown and inking everything up it took on a completely different feel!
Supplies used: corner stickers from Creative Memories, Letter stickers from Dollar Tree

Fall Workshop Layout

This is the layout I created for a workshop I had a couple weeks ago. I had fun doing a lot of different distressing and stamping techniques and I always love to add a little stitching to the page!
Supplies used: My Acrylix "Friendship Patch", My Acrylix "Building Block Alphabet", CTMH Distressing tools & edge distresser, Autumn Terracotta ink, and Garden Green ink
